Almost nobody has. Every alarm has a manufacture date stamped on it & a ten year life, & after that the sensor stops being reliable whether anyone checks or not.

Plenty of Adelaide homes are running on alarms well past that date, with the battery pulled out of one of them because it chirped at two in the morning.
